Master Your Time, Master Your Life By Brian Tracy

As we grow and change together becoming better at what we do in our businesses we must first start with ourselves. Our first goal should be to always be striving to first be our best selves through health, nutrition, financial, spiritual balance and education. Each month we have included for you a personal development recommendation for you to add to your library. It is our hope that many of you have worked through these books and others. In the 1800s Charles W. Eliot whom at the time was the president of Harvard University created what has come to be known as the Harvard Classics. But it was originally known as Dr. Eliot’s 5-foot shelf of books. Dr. Eliot stated that if you read these books contained in the Harvard classics you would by far have the best education of any man. We teach our children and future generations to read to gain knowledge but sometimes we ourselves do not have the discipline required to achieve this small daily goal. Just by reading books you can learn any subject matter that you want to obtain. — just by reading! I challenge you to get your MBA (or another one ) through reading. Come here every month and grab the new recommendation but don’t stop there. One book isn’t enough. Read and read and keep reading until you have arrived at greatness. And just so you know the end of the story… we will never arrive. There is always an opportunity for growth and change to become better. You do not have to have enormous student loan debt to get there. Choose a subject and learn from experts through books until you are satisfied. Then choose a new subject and start again.

I am not against a formal education. If that is an option for you then go for it. But for the purpose of this discussion, just read 10 minutes of greatness every day and it will add up.

If you want to further your knowledge through the Harvard Classics you can do a quick google search and come up with all of the information about them. And although not well organized, the Harvard Classics can be found digitally free of charge for you.

This month’s recommendation is a great piece to help you with time management. It is by author Brian Tracy titled Master Your Time Master Your Life. Here is the link to the book on Amazon. I usually grab my books on Kindle to save on space and resources. Brian Tracy is the author of many many successful to include Eat That Frog and No Excuses. He is one of my favorite Personal Development authors. His books are not thrillers that will keep you gripping your seat but they are on point with concise tips to better your life. This is a fast read where we are taught how to master our time through actionable ideas and steps. If you are struggling with time management or just want to grab another great personal development book then this one is a good option.

Here is Brian Tracy’s bio as well.
